Written and recorded Jan 2018

While working on FUCHSIA I consumed a huge amount of 80s and 80s inspired culture. I revisited that Black Mirror episode, San Junipero. If you haven't watched it you should. The first time it didn't quite hit me, but this time around I really got the feels. It ends with Heaven Is a Place on Earth, and I felt instantly inspired. Suddenly I was channeling Belinda Carlisle, Brian Adams in the Summer of 69, Born in the U.S.A. like Springsteen, and FOREVER was born.

It nearly made it to FUCHSIA, but in the end I thought it was a bit too over the top, like I was overdoing this whole 80s thing, and it wasn't the sound I fell in love with and wanted to portrait on the EP, so I never wrote a second verse and it stayed like this, forever. Cracking tune though, it really portrays that Black Mirror episode.
